INTEC
[edit]Hi. I'm the person who's removing info from the INTEC page. Much of that is in direct violation of WP:NOT, which says, in short, that we're trying to write encyclopedia articles here that summarize only key information about subjects, not provide definitive lists of information. None of that placement info belongs in the article (that's what the school's web page is for). Please explain on the article's talk page why you think that info belongs before re-adding. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:34, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
{{help me}} Hi,nice to meet you. Sorry, I wasn't aware of the placement info issue when I included it. I find this information particularly important for anyone interested in INTEC because INTEC is a college that prepares scholarship recipients for only overseas studies. Thus, university placement is the key information on INTEC. So, do you suggest me to trim the list or remove it altogether? How can I learn more about unwritten rules like this? Thank you! By the way, how can best contribute to Wikipedia? Is there a list of groups on Wikipedia that I can join?Victorleezhiyu (talk) 03:52, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- You can join a WikiProject, they're "groups" on Wikipedia that allow improvement of articles. As for the list, you should remove it. Frozen Windwant to be chilly? 05:21, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, for general information, take a look at the info above in the welcome message--in particular the links marked "Tutorial" and "The five pillars" are a helpful place to start. Don't worry about trying to learn all the "rules"--there's a ton of them and, luckily, there's lots of editors around willing to help. You can, for example, always ask me a question, either here (I'm "watching" your page) or on my talk page.
- As for the placement info, this is a good learning point for Wikipedia. You state that it's "particularly important for anyone interested in INTEC." That's certainly true in the sense of what someone potentially attending there might want to know, but not true in the Wikipedia sense. Wikipedia aims to give only encyclopedic information about topics, not act as a resource for potential or current students. Furthermore, it's very important that the Wikipedia page not act as an advertisement for INTEC--our goal is to help people understand, in general, what INTEC is, not to show off all the good things about INTEC. Does that make sense? Qwyrxian (talk) 22:09, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. Note, if you did create this file, you may want to upload it to Wikimedia Commons, which will allow the image to be accessed by all Wikimedia Foundation projects (which include the various localized versions of Wikipedia)
If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Danger (talk) 17:50, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Sorry, I'm not really sure about the copyright issue of the image files. Is there any explanation in layman's term? Victorleezhiyu (talk) 17:52, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Natalie Portman, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Additions to INTEC
[edit]Much or all of what you just added to International Education Centre (INTEC), Malaysia is copied directly from the university's website. For instance, some of it comes from this page. Note at the very bottom of the page that the university website is copyrighted. This means that that information may not be copied onto Wikipedia. Instead, it would need to be summarized and transformed into our own words. I didn't actually look at the info beyond noticing that it was copied, so I don't know if all of the content belongs in the article, but I did want to get the copyright violation off ASAP. Please let me know if you have questions. Qwyrxian (talk) 10:59, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
The article Mark Chang Mun Kee has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. CrossTempleJay (talk) 14:22, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ive removed this PROD based on the subsequent references you provided. I must warn you, however, that we have very strict rules against copyright violations. You appear to have lifted most of the article verbatim from here. Please be careful not to do that in the future; it's a great source, but use your own words. Kuru (talk) 15:32, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi Kuru, I have paraphrased and re-uploaded the brief introduction to Mark Chang. I hope this version follows the copyright regulation of Wikipedia. Thank you for your reminder, I'll be more careful in the future. Victorleezhiyu (talk) 04:23, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Worthy Book Logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Worthy Book Logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
The article Worthy Book has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Promotional in nature
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Eeekster (talk) 00:16, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
File:Worthy Book Logo.jpg needs authorship information.
[edit]The media file you uploaded as File:Worthy Book Logo.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).
- If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Victorleezhiyu}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
or use the {{own}} template.
- If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.

[edit]Hi there, the table you created in the above article wasn't showing up properly so I fiddled with the syntax. I haven't formatted all the figures for readability but that's a minor issue. ► Philg88 ◄ talk 04:59, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Hey Philg88, thanks a lot. The table definitely looks much better. I am going to add in citations soon.Victorleezhiyu (talk) 05:55, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Help me write an article?
[edit]Hello, I saw your name on the WikiProject Chemical Engineering page, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to help me with Mixing (process engineering). It still needs a lot of work, including citations, but I think it deserves the attention of the people in the project. Also, please comment on the merger I've proposed with industrial mixer. Thanks!RSido (talk) 03:16, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
